TYLOTOTRITON ENTHUSIASTS
SINCE 2012
Amphibian species worldwide are suffering from extinction with a third of species being currently threatened. South-east Asian amphibians are no exception to the conservation crisis and suffer from looming extinction. This includes threatened species from the Tylototriton genus from South-east Asia. Tylototriton are a small, primitive genus from the Salamandridae family with distinctive features, bright colours and unique behaviours. Tylototriton are threatened by over collection for traditional Chinese medicine, human consumption, the pet trade and habitat degradation.
